Pin Oak Idol

Pin Oak Idol-2011

What started five years ago as a school talent show, has grown into what is known today as "Pin Oak Idol".
This year's competition was fierce. In all, a field of 75 was narrowed down to 32 performers making up twenty acts, that made the cut to be in the final competition. All were vying for the one coveted spot: the honor to be called "Idol". Outside judges scored the acts on overall talent, showmanship and staging.

The competition was stiff and accolades go to all the performers willing to "put it out there". This year's winner was "Natural Rhythm",  a hip hop group comprised of Ryan Itima, Chris Wernette and Eric Oliver. The boys, all members of the Pin Oak Advanced Hip Hop group,  brought the crowd to its feet with their original dance number.
