Fundraiser for the Hayes at the Houston Museum of Natural Science was held on July 11th.
A Night at the Museum was held July 11th to help raise money for the medical expenses and care of Pin Oak stage band teacher Al Hayes’s wife Katy Hayes. Al’s students, both current and Pin Oak alumni provided musical entertainment for the evening.
Auction items included vacations, art, and guitars donated by ZZ Top and Maroon 5 and sports tickets and memorabilia. Hundreds turned out, both from the Pin Oak community as well as those who had heard Katy Hayes’ story and wanted to lend their support.
The next fundraising event is planned for September 11. “Las Vegas Night in Houston” will be held at the Hilton on Greenspoint Drive from 6:00-11:00 pm. Tickets are $75.
All proceeds will directly benefit the Hayes family. For more information to www.katyhayesbenefit.com.
